Yoga Nidra

What is Yoga Nidra?

Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation that leads the practitioner into “yogic sleep”. Sounds pretty good, right? You get to lie in Savasana the whole time while you’re systematically instructed through a deep relaxation exercise.

Yoga Nidra offers physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual soothing. It allows a better management of stress and anxiety, a step back regarding negative emotions, a better management of his/her thoughts (this one becoming more structured), a creative and liberating energy but also a better knowledge of his own body with the possibility of letting go. When awake we are in a constant state of control. The areas of the brain for making decisions are constantly activated. During the Nidra yoga session, we look for the opposite of this state: the objective is to no longer try to control what is happening: but guided by the voice of a teacher, the brain enters a phase of semi-sleep. and find peace. Yoga Nidra has been proven to help relieve aches, fatigue and stress and help you feel more relaxed and rejuvenated. Each session is unique, and each person will experience Yoga Nidra differently.
